City commences with road resurfacing in Bellville, Durbanville, Brackenfell and Kraaifontein

The City of Cape Town’s Road Infrastructure Management Department will be resurfacing various roads in the northern suburbs over the next two months. Residents in Kraaifontein, Brackenfell, Bellville and Durbanville both north and south of the N1 can expect this maintenance work to commence on Monday, 26 September 2022. 

The work will take place between 09.00 and 16.30 from Monday to Saturday and is scheduled to be completed by the end of November 2022.

'We invest in road maintenance to ensure the longevity of our road network.  I appeal to residents to please support us so that the work can be done as speedily as possible. Kindly comply with the signage around the construction areas, and where possible, please consider using alternative routes to avoid unnecessary delays', said the City's Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.

This road resurfacing project includes the milling and replacement of sections of the following roads:

Kraaifontein

•        Tiger Avenue, Zoo Park

•        Kitchener Road, Windsor Park Estate

•        Letaba Crescent, Bonny Brook

•        Limpopo Road, Bonny Brook

•        Boesak Avenue, Wallacedene

•        Matsooa Street, Wallacedene

•        Mildred Street, Wallacedene

•        Mhlazana Crescent, Wallacedene

•        Sikhobongela Street, Wallacedene

•        Njenjese and Lesibane Streets, Bloekombos

•        Mangondia Street and Jafta/Rhigala Intersections, Bloekombos

•        Tugwana and Nhlanhla Streets, Nkani/Dlali/Calata Intersection Wallacedene

•        10th Avenue Belmont Park

•        11th Avenue Belmont Park

•        Da Gama Street, Scottsdene

•        Sake Road, Goodison Court, Scottsdene

Brackenfell

•        Swarthout Street, Vredekloof
